Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr
SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling :aww:
I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.

Pokemon question

Since a while I try to trade Pokemon from Diamond to White(02). I know what to do in the White version, but where do I have to go and what do I have to do in the Diamond version? I tried the Union room and it never worked.
Also when I want to migrate Pokemon from Saphire to Diamond(Palpark), what steps do I have to do in the Diamond version?

Well first of all you need two DS systems of any kind, even a 3DS, first you transfer Pokemon from Diamond or any previous version for the DS to Black or White and then you trade a Pokemon from White or Black 2 over to well Black and White then you have the Pokemon you need but to do it you need a DS DOWNLOAD PLAY for one of them and ....well the rest you may already know

in pokemon white v2, you beat the elite 4 then go to the pokemon transfer lab (south east of the map). you speak to the guy there, then you need ANOTHER DS with pokemon diamond in, turn on the console and go to "download play". then you download the transfer software from the DS using white 2, select the pokemon you want (up to 6) and play a minigame to catch them. i only did this last week with my pokemon diamond/black v2!

but yeah you need two DS/DS Lite/DSi/3DS :(

it is a bit complicated! at least when transferring pokemon from a GBA game to a DS game you can use one console XD but yeah i was glad I kept my DS too

i have a GBA XD i didnt buy it when it came out, but when diamond/pearl was out they had an event giving away Mew, but you needed a GBA to get it - I had to go out and find a second hand GBA and a copy of leaf green just to get it lol

On White you need to go to the Poké Transfer Lab [link] and start the transfer. Then you need a seconds (3)DS with Diamond in it. You start it and choose "Download Play" and get to play this minigame.

what? uhh dont you mean you need to migrate as well for P/D/Plat to B/W or B/W 2?
well... not migrate, more like you need 2 DS, or a DS and a 3DS, either way is fine.
Leave whatever pkmn in PC for diamond for one DS, and then like in white 2 other DS or 3DS, make sure you beat the game, and go to some lab... I think its in route 15. It should tell you the rest of the introductions about some download and stuff =o which of course you would be playing some silly mini game... which can be a butt if you're going to transfer a lot. >8I

ruby to diamond.... its been ages i last played diamond, I just know you just need a DS, ruby needs to be saved in pokecenter if i recall? and then somehow migrate....at pal park or something.

I hate how complicated it is now! Pokemon trade should be easy! It is like going through tons of obstacles and weird rules just for a simple fight. With all the new technology and upgrades you would expect that everything is easier now, but no! They make it harder and on top of that they add more useless and complicated crap!:(
